A "Filter Element" used for purifying water.
In the later game stages you can build a "Filter Element" which is used to purify water in a "Water Purifier".
It can be unlocked in the "technology" tree once you acquire certain items and reach certain "Skill" levels (more information below).
It is made at the "Machining Table".
Filter Element (Technology Tree)[]
Before you can make a "Filter Element" you first need to unlock it in the "Technology" tree. To unlock it you need the following items:
- "Electrification Grade 3" = See the "Skills" page for more information.
- "Mechanical Grade 2" = See the "Skills" page for more information.
- 3 x "Charcoal" = Loot or craft at the "Charcoal Kiln".

Making a Filter Element[]
Once the "Filter Element" has been unlocked in the "Technology" tree, you can craft it at the "Machining Table".
It takes the following items to craft:
- 3 x "Charcoal" = Loot or craft at the "Charcoal Kiln".
- 2x "Stone" = Pick up from the ground or mine from rocks with a pick axe.
After you have built a "Filter Cartridge" you can use it in a "Water Filter".
Using the Filter Cartridge[]
Use the "Water Purifier" interface and add your "Filter Cartridge" so it can purify water.
