Note: This page contains a brief overview of the seasons in the game. It will be expanded with more information over time.
Overview[]
The game features all of the seasons found in real life such as Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.
The seasons provide different challenges to the player such as extreme temperatures, i.e. hot and cold).
Throughout the game year you will also encounter challenging weather such as rain storms, dust storms, snow storms, etc.
The length of each season depends on the setting you chose for the number of days in a year when you started the game. The default year length si 40 days. The game calls this "A year's time" on the new game options menu. This means each season will be 10 days (game time) in length.
A new game always starts in Spring on Day 1 then progresses through the other seasons.
Spring[]
A new game starts with Spring on Day 1 and is quite mild and easy to survive. Use the time wisely to prepare for the upcoming seasons.
Summer[]
A dust storm during the Summer season and the player is too hot.
Expect hotter than normal temperatures during the day.
You can also experience dust storms with high temperatures and low visibility.
During a heat wave it can get very hot so try to go inside, wear appropriate clothing or remove clothing that makes you too hot. If you are too hot the edges of your screen will show a red/orange color. The text "I feel hot" will also appear on your screen intermittently.
Autumn[]
Use the time to prepare for the coming winter where temperatures can be very low. Ensure any new plants you seed are inside a "Greenhouse" or they will die during Winter before they are ready to harvest.
Winter[]
During the Winter season the player leaves tracks in the snow.
Expect colder than normal temperatures during the day and very cold temperatures at night.
When the player moves through the ground covering of snow they leave behind tracks. Animals such as rabbits will also leave tracks making them easier to follow.
Any plants not inside a "Greenhouse" will die due to the cold temperatures.
A snow storm during the Winter season and the player is too cold.
During a snow storm it can get extremely cold so try not be outside during one. If you are too cold your screen will show some ice effects as shown in the image. The text "I feel cold" will also appear on your screen intermittently.
Known Issues[]
Sometimes when you first load and rejoin your saved game the current season name displayed will be wrong. Wait until after midnight and the correct season will then be shown. This is a known issue and will be fixed by the dev.
Also, sometimes even if you wait after midnight the season displayed will be wrong. For example, it might be snowing outside as it is Winter but the game says it is Summer. This is a known issue and will be fixed by the dev.
